What do I need to know when volunteering as a PIE HELPER?

Junior Side Pie Helping

· Arrive 12.10pm, sign in at the office (sanitise)

· Wait for the pie truck to arrive (should drive into the junior staff car park)

· Help transport the pie boxes into the junior staffroom kitchen

· Distribute the pies in their boxes to each classroom, where possible leave outside the class (after getting the teachers attention)

· Once all collected hang around for 5 minutes incase of any issues (there is normally an extra pie ordered to help in this case)

Senior Side Pie Helping

· Arrive 12.15pm, sign in at the office (sanitise)

· Wait for the pie truck to arrive (should drive into the staff car park outside the hall). They often don’t get there till 12.20/12.25 or so as they deliver to the junior side first. Don’t panic, it will arrive! Kids may be waiting but they just have to be patient!

· Help transport the pie boxes into the hall kitchen

· Two students from each class will come and collect their classes from you.

· Once all collected hang around for 5 minutes incase of any issues (there is normally an extra pie ordered to help in this case)

Other notes:

Generally, they have one box per class, sometimes Jesters combine two classes into one box so pop one class into the lid. Easy to tell as each pie has a sticker with the students name/class/pie type on it.

Sometimes there are pies returned when students are away, if they aren't needed for 'issues', either you’re welcome to it or take it to the staffroom and someone will be hungry and want it.
